We're Finally Here!

Hello everyone! We haven't even started the research yet and the adventure has already begun! I met Chin-loo, Michelle, Karen, Vanda, and Mary throughout the day. We checked in, took showers, used the computer (which, by the way, has a high-speed connection but is s-l-o-w), went out to eat (you HAVE to check out the pics of that!), and walked ALL AROUND CAMPO GRANDE looking for rubber boots. People are as warm and welcoming as the weather is here. One gentlemen stopped working and walked us 11 blocks to where we needed to be. Later in the evening, a man at the clothing store Molina walked us innumerable blocks to find the type of boots we needed (up to our calfs). We ended up back at Molina buying the too-short boots because none of the other half-dozen stores we were escorted to had anything different than Molina (by the way, Molina, the name of the store, was named after the kind man who took us on our boot tour of Campo Grande, his name is Anilom (Andy is his American name).
Please check out the collaborative website by following the link posted at an earlier date.
Tomorrow we are off to Aquiduauna--the town we take our plane from to get to our final destination. It will take two trips because it is only a 5-seater plane. Pics of that to follow.
Have a great couple of days and remember to keep checking for daily posts!
